Trying out the backward compatibility for the very first time, technically this is the PS2 classic built for the PS4, but boosted with the PS5’s power. And here it is~ The new controller “Dualsense” feels super comfortable as well, I could easily speedrun all the other games with this beast. The graphics are enhanced by the PS5’s boost mode (on default) and is upscaled to native 4K. And before I see some dumb comments like I enabled invincibility or used save state – you can’t do neither on the PS5, if you know how to please do teach me. This is the raw gameplay recorded from the PS5. (Extra note: The other Metal Slug titles are only available on MS Anthology of the PS4)

Unlike on the PS4 Pro, PS5 Game Boost is enabled by default. This means you don’t have to do anything to enjoy your PlayStation 4 games at their very best on the PlayStation 5. However, you will need to ensure you install the latest system software update as well as any game-specific patches to get the most out of your titles.

Metal Slug 6 (メタルスラッグ 6) is a run and gun video game for the Sammy Atomiswave arcade platform released in 2006. It was the first main game in the franchise not to run on SNK’s Neo Geo MVS arcade hardware. This game, alongside Metal Slug 3D, were created as commemoration for the series’ 10th anniversary. There was a PS2 port in September 14, 2006. It is also featured in Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable, and Metal Slug Complete PC for the PC. Utilizing the backward compatibility on the PlayStation 5 console also allows it to play Metal Slug 6.
